A federal child exploitation probe has been opened into a Texas volleyball coach. The coach, Ryan Richardson, was previously investigated by ProPublica and The Washington Post. He had been suspended and later ruled "permanently ineligible" by the U.S. Center for SafeSport due to allegations of misconduct.

The U.S. Center for SafeSport found that Richardson had an intimate relationship, according to its public disciplinary list. Despite this, he continued to coach teenage girls at his gym.

Further details about the probe and Richardson's case are available from the original investigation by ProPublica and The Washington Post.
